Ferienhaus - 12 Personen - Impasse du Nant - 73620 - Hauteluce

We completed construction in 2018. This authentic and substantial log chalet is located on the ski bus route between Les Saisies and Les Contamines, 1300m from the 12-person La Ruelle des Contamines gondola. Two free shuttle buses pass our chalet every hour in opposite directions. The second takes you to the Hauteluce chairlift in 15 minutes, which leads to Les Saisies and the 185km Domaine Diamant and the 120km Fond Olympic cross-country skiing area.
The 175 m² chalet has underfloor heating, a fireplace in the living room, leather sofas and a large screen for watching movies. Every space has been designed for comfort and convenience - from bedding, carpets, fitted wardrobes and en-suite bathrooms to soundproof walls, floors and ceilings and mountain charm.

Layout of the chalet.
First floor: Entrance hall. Fully equipped kitchen for 12 people. Living room with fireplace (a limited amount of firewood is included - one log at a time is sufficient and safe for this wood burning stove). Three en-suite bedrooms for two people each.
Second floor: Small twin room with bathroom and gallery.
Ground floor: Two bedrooms (1 bedroom 1 bed 160x200cm / 1 bedroom 1 bed 140 x 200cm). Bathroom (bathroom + toilet). Laundry room (washing machine + dryer). Game room / ski room.
Bed linen included + made beds.

Our chalet is spacious and can accommodate twelve people who can feel at home here. Our location is privileged. The feeling of belonging to nature is uplifting.
In the heart of the Beaufortain, a massif offering the famous Baroque path and beautiful hikes to the perched lakes, between pastures and typical settlements. The family-friendly ski resorts of Arêche, Beaufort and Saisies offer a variety of outdoor sports and playful activities.

La Ruelle has free parking, ticket sales, ski hire and an on-site restaurant/bar. The 12-person gondola takes you to the 120km of snow-sure slopes of Les Contamines. In five minutes you are in an idyllic, sunny area with beginner lifts, ski lifts and restaurants. A five-minute chairlift takes you further to the Col du Joly with its stunning views of the Mont Blanc massif. The valley of Hauteluce is of absolute beauty (and the sunsets for your ski home).

The mentality of Le Madrier
The tradition is there, embedded in the stacking of logs. Already 3000 years ago, wooden houses were built from logs according to the principle of stacked solid wood. Today, modernized versions, adapted as a kit to the current regulations (RE 2020), have proven to be a simple compromise - but never the depth and width of the real thing - literally!
Is it this ancient aspect or the love of wood that attracts? The warmth and the scent? The desire to live a little closer to nature? Or all of the things at once? Because yes, the log is a real state of mind: solid wood that you can see and smell to create a unique atmosphere.
For some, it is even a way of life. It is a return to the roots, an escape to the times when families, neighbors and friends helped each other build village houses. It is also simply the pleasure of building with your own hands.
The aesthetics
With logs, the construction principle creates aesthetics. In the past, the logs stacked on top of each other crossed at the sharp corners of the house. The position of the interior walls was also visible from the outside. The solid wood was visible, and this is still the case today, which is what makes log houses so charming
